I apologize for the lack of hardcore art action on this blog lately, as life in the wake of grant applications and launching towards Christmas has left me busy as a… well.

Stephanie Vegh, Age of Enlightenment (Rome: The Final Goal), 2009. Watercolour pencil on extracted book pages.
And while the idea of flying off to Rome on a giant bee has its appeal, I’ll be departing Hamilton in a far more conventional fashion - namely, by plane, to the Bahamas for a sorely-needed spot of sun-soaked relaxation where intellectual rigours will be limited to reading some Raymond Chandler and listening to some choice podcasts on my trusty new iPhone, including Adrian Searle’s brilliant Private Views. I suspect a few fruity rum-based beverages will also be on the menu.
I’ll be returning to Hamilton in time for the next James North Art Crawl on December 11th, and expect to resume posting again soon after with the added benefit of a hangover and a killer tan.
