This weekend, I’ll be participating as one of 70 artists in the third installment of the Octopus Project, PUSH/PULL, aptly named in response to Doors Open Toronto.

The theme also proved quite fortunate in conjunction with my recent studies on Bartitsu, the first set of which I finished a couple weeks back. For this occasion, however, I found it more appropriate to produce a new, stand-alone drawing that would highlight the project’s relation to the push-pullness of this show.

Though trivial, it does bear noting that I switched to a blue-grey paper instead of white, and mixed a new ink colour that shifts from mauve to black in the accumulated layers, which on the whole hopefully contributes to the slightly darker tone of this composition. Decapitation by ink-rift is just too much fun to leave unexplored.
Pending any logistic issues, I should be making the trip out to Toronto tomorrow night for the opening reception from 7-10, with an account of the exhibition to be posted here on the weekend. Have a good one, folks.
